Selectboard sells two decommissioned fire trucks to high bidders

The Brookline Selectboard opened sealed bids on Feb. 2 for two decommissioned fire trucks and approved sales to the high bidders.
For the 1984 GMC the high bid of $4,750 from JAW Sales of Hollis was accepted. For the 1990 International the high bid of $5,100 from JR Bristol of Hollis was accepted. Brian Rater moved to approve both sales; the motions were seconded by Jerry Roche and each vote was recorded as 4–0 in favor.
The board received three bids for each truck (1984 bids: JR Bristol $2,600; JAW Sales $4,750 (high); Robert Hillman $4,700; 1990 bids: JR Bristol $5,100 (high); JAW Sales $3,600; Robert Hillman $3,300). The Selectboard did not identify further conditions for sale at the meeting.
