Selectboard members reviewed several Town Hall maintenance items on Jan. 5. John Turner of Team Engineering advised the board that exterior lighting work could proceed before a full analysis and repairs are complete if lights are aimed at the building; Andrea will obtain additional quotes beyond an initial $8,050 estimate.
Separately, GSR’s asbestos testing at Town Hall returned negative results, according to materials presented to the board.
The board also heard that the Brusch Hall furnace stopped working on Jan. 3. The town received two replacement quotes (from Absolute Mechanical and Indoor Comfort Systems); Brian Rater said he turned off the well to prevent freezing and the Town Administrator will select which quote to accept.
No votes were recorded to authorize immediate expenditures on lighting or furnace replacement at the Jan. 5 meeting; these were presented as options and status updates.
