Pigeon council accepts $271,108.06 in bills, reviews Caseville water rate and plans park path and tree plantings

At its Sept. 23 meeting, the Village of Pigeon Council reviewed a reported water‑rate increase from the City of Caseville, accepted $271,108.06 in accounts payable for Aug. 20–Sept. 23, 2024, and discussed a planned brick path and tree plantings at the Event Center and Veteran’s Park.

During public comment, resident Lonnie Fritz raised an inquiry about water issues originating in Caseville. President Michael LePage also read aloud an EGLE letter dated Sept. 12, 2024 concerning an Aug. 29 meeting among EGLE, the City of Caseville, Caseville Township and the Village of Pigeon; the letter was entered into the record. Under other business, President LePage described plans to install a brick path from the Event Center parking lot into Veteran’s Park using leftover bricks from the Veteran’s Memorial path and to plant three trees on the north side of the parking lot. The council adjourned at 7:41 p.m.
