Pigeon Council approves $409,617 Berne Street pay request and accepts $646,279 in bills

President Michael LePage presided over the Village of Pigeon Council's regular meeting on Oct. 21, 2024, where members approved several municipal payments and contracts.
The council voted to approve Pay Request No. 1 for the Berne Street project in the amount of $409,617.00 to Nicol & Sons. The motion was made by Trustee Marc Hill and seconded by Trustee Matt Zimmerman; the record states "All Ayes. Motion Carried." The pay request was reviewed by President LePage before the vote.
Council members also reviewed roof replacement quotes for the Woelke Research Center and approved a conditional award to Shears Roof: Trustee Kent Shetler moved and Trustee Shelly Gunden seconded a motion that Shears Roof complete the roof with steel if the final cost comes in under the insurance payout. That motion carried with all ayes.
Village Superintendent/Clerk Steven Corrion emailed an accounts payable report totaling $646,279.08 covering Sept. 24 through Oct. 21, 2024. Trustee Shelly Gunden moved to accept the report; Trustee Michael Wehner seconded and the motion carried with all ayes.
