The Village of Pigeon Council voted unanimously on Aug. 19 to approve routine capital and maintenance expenditures, including a three-year municipal lease-purchase for a 2024 Ford F-350, a paving contract for Veterans Park, and acceptance of the accounts payable ledger.
Trustee Michael Wehner moved, and Trustee Kent Tibbits seconded, approval of a three-year lease-purchase with Ford Credit for a 2024 F-350 SRW 4x4 Regular Cab pickup and authorized Village Superintendent/Clerk Steven Corrion to sign documentation on behalf of the village. The motion carried with all members voting yes.
The council also approved paving the Horseshoe Drive at Veterans Park and the Event Center. Trustee Matt Zimmerman moved and Trustee Shelly Gunden seconded the award to Pyramid Paving Company at a cost of $18,955.00; the motion passed unanimously.
Village Superintendent/Clerk Steven Corrion had emailed an accounts payable report totaling $52,531.58 covering July 16 through Aug. 19, 2024; Trustee Shelly Gunden moved, seconded by Trustee Michael Wehner, to accept the report and the council approved it with all ayes.
