At its Sept. 10 meeting the Arvon Township School District board heard a financial update and several operational reports.
T. Hollon presented the financial report and recorded Total Liabilities and Equity of $553,621.52, and told the board the district audit "is going well." Lead Teacher K. Waara reported several field trips planned for September and October and said student testing and assessments were about 75% complete.
During old-business discussion the board noted the district needs a substitute van driver; Roxanne Clements was mentioned as a possible candidate and K. Laramore volunteered to contact her. The board also heard that Thurn Law Firm has provided no new pricing update. K. Laramore said she is preparing a tri-fold flier for a school mileage proposal and expects it to be mailed in October. K. Waara said she is working on a garden grant.
The board approved routine agenda items and minutes at the start of the meeting. It set its next meeting for Oct. 8, 2024 at 5:00 p.m. and adjourned at about 5:40 p.m.
