The Chrisney Town Council approved an adjustment to a customer's water bill after a reported leak, and approved the 2025 Annual Report for Water and the 2026 Water Budget for submission to USDA Rural Development.
Kim, a staff member who works with rate consultant Pat Callahan, presented the leak case and proposed adjusting the affected customer's bill to an average charge while billing additional gallons at the wholesale rate. Greg, a council member, moved and Mason, a council member, seconded the bill-adjustment motion; the motion carried.
Kim also presented required water documents prepared with the town's rate consultant, Pat Callahan, for submission to USDA Rural Development because the town holds water bonds with the agency. The council approved both the 2025 Annual Report for Water and the 2026 Water Budget for submission.
Separately, John presented two vendor quotes for a service body with utility box and a snow plow for the town's 2024 Chevy: Meyer Truck Equipment ($21,635) and Elpers Truck Equipment ($27,768). Chris said additional bids are forthcoming and the council tabled the equipment purchase until the next meeting. The minutes do not record bid selection or final procurement action.
