Chrisney council approves $112,000 engineering amendment pending SRF approval to advance sewer-main rehab work

Commonwealth Engineers told the Town Council on March 2 that roughly $500,000 of State Revolving Fund (SRF) financing remains to spend on the town's wastewater project. Drew Flamion, representing Commonwealth Engineers, said engineer estimates indicate that non-construction and construction-related costs (design, bidding, permitting, labor standards and construction) for replacing gravity sewer main segments from MH 56 to MH 56A and from MH 58 to the alley will consume most of those funds. He also said the town plans to purchase CCTV equipment to televise lines within the system.
Drew presented owner'engineer amendment #6 for Commonwealth Engineers to complete design, bidding and construction administration services for the two gravity sewer-main replacements for $112,000 and recommended the council sign the amendment so surveys, permits and bid documents can be prepared. Drew said he will submit the amendment to SRF for approval before proceeding.
Greg, a council member, moved to approve the $112,000 amendment pending SRF approval; Mason, a council member, seconded and the motion carried. The minutes record that the council authorized the amendment pending SRF approval; they did not include a roll-call vote tally.
The council recorded that staff (John, Ben and Michael) and Commonwealth Engineers will coordinate on design and permitting.
