"This video will be the property of the Village of Three Oaks," Rudd said, and the contractor would be required to deliver mapping files compatible with the village’s GIS system.
Committee members said the CCTV would help avoid accidental utility strikes and create a clearer inventory of sewer assets. Rudd said the proposal would cover at least 75% of the pipes in Surf’s work area; Surf’s full quote came in at about $145,000, and the village’s up‑to‑$50,000 contribution is meant to share the cost of that work.
The committee did not specify a departmental funding source during the meeting; committee-level approval authorizes the contribution but does not itself appropriate funds from village accounts beyond any separate council action required by ordinance or budget policy. The committee recorded the vote as "Ayes: All; Nays: none; Absent: Kramer."
