Under the proposed approach, all students who meet the Michigan Merit Curriculum requirements or the credit plan specified in a signed Personal Curriculum submitted to the State of Michigan will receive a diploma. Honors designations will be based on GPA standing; the minutes describe the change as aiming to measure academic excellence through consistent performance across coursework.
