Village schedules water-main repairs; committee reviews $20,462 quote for chemical-feed equipment

Three Oaks public works and water staff briefed the Public Service Committee on planned water-main repairs and a procurement quote for treatment equipment during the Feb. 7 meeting.
Joe Fender said Burkholder will begin work on the main on Monday and that Plummers crews will be on site Tuesday. Fender reported the most recent bacteria results from the system were negative.
The committee reviewed a Peerless quote for a chemical feed pump upgrade, recorded in the packet as $20,462 "for flow meter and electrical work." Manager Faulkner said the quote needs to be itemized into specific costs before the committee can act or recommend approval.
No formal procurement decision was made at the meeting; Faulkner asked staff to obtain a cost breakout for review at a future meeting.
