River Ridge CDD accepts resignation of Supervisor James Gilman; board to solicit applicants

The River Ridge Community Development District accepted the resignation of Supervisor James Gilman (Seat 1) at its Aug. 27 meeting.
Mrs. Cleo Adams presented Mr. Gilman’s resignation letter. The Board voted, on a motion by Mr. Kurt Blumenthal seconded by Mr. Robert Twombly, to accept the resignation. The Board clarified this will be an appointment to fill the unexpired term (not an election), and directed Mr. Long and The Meadows’ POA manager to e-blast residents with candidate qualification requirements and invite submissions of resumes or letters of interest in advance of the next meeting.
The Board also noted materials for administration of oath, required ethics training and Form 1/Form 8B disclosures will be provided in a separate package; consideration of election of officers (Resolution 2024-06) and the oath of office item were deferred.
