River Ridge CDD adopts FY 2024/2025 budget and approves special assessments

The River Ridge Community Development District on Aug. 27 adopted its fiscal year 2024/2025 budget and approved a resolution imposing special assessments, both by unanimous votes.
District Manager Chuck Adams told the Board the version of the FY 2025 budget included in the meeting package "was not correct," and staff made scrivener corrections, including a revised description for "Street sweeping." Mrs. Cleo Adams opened the required public hearing; no members of the public spoke. On a motion by Supervisor Kurt Blumenthal, seconded by Supervisor Robert Twombly, the Board adopted Resolution 2024-07, relating to the annual appropriations and adopting the budget for the fiscal year beginning Oct. 1, 2024, as amended.
District Counsel Tony Pires recommended opening the public hearing on Resolution 2024-08, which makes a determination of benefit and imposes special assessments for FY 2024/2025. Mrs. Adams opened the hearing; no affected property owners spoke. The Board directed staff to delete references to "Exhibit B" from Page 2 and throughout the resolution. On a motion by Mr. Blumenthal, seconded by Mr. Twombly, the Board adopted Resolution 2024-08, as amended.
Both votes were recorded "with all in favor." The Board took no public testimony on either item and did not change the substantive funding levels during the meeting. The district will proceed with the administrative steps needed to finalize the adopted budget and assessment roll.
