At its Feb. 10, 2025 meeting the Village of Pigeon Council approved several routine operational items: purchasing four chandeliers for the Pigeon Event Center, pre-approving payroll and urgent bills for the 2025/26 fiscal year, accepting the accounts payable report and approving Event Center rate increases effective March 1.
Trustee Kent Shetler moved and Trustee Matt Zimmerman seconded approval to buy four chandeliers at a total cost of $2,410 for the Pigeon Event Center; the motion carried with all ayes. Later, Shetler and Zimmerman also moved and seconded a motion to pre-approve payroll, payroll taxes and any bills that would be past due before council approval for the 2025/26 fiscal year; that motion also carried unanimously.
President LePage reviewed proposed 2025 rates for the Pigeon Event Center; Trustee Shelly Gunden moved and Trustee Matt Zimmerman seconded approval of the new rates, which take effect March 1, 2025. Village Superintendent/Clerk Steven Corrion emailed the accounts payable report showing a total of $24,263.42 covering Jan. 15 to Feb. 10, 2025; the council accepted the report on a motion by Trustee Gunden and seconded by Trustee Kent Tibbits with all ayes.
