Clarkston council accepts historic-district findings, joins county NoHaz program and approves $6,751 budget amendment

The City of the Village of Clarkston City Council unanimously approved three resolutions at its Jan. 27, 2025 regular meeting.
Councilmember Erica Jones moved to accept the findings of the Clarkston Historic District Study Committee and the endorsement of the Michigan State Historic Preservation Office; Amanda Forte supported the motion. The resolution carried, all aye, 7-0.
Jones also moved that the city continue participation in Oakland County's NoHaz Hazardous Waste Collection Program for 2025 and authorize the required Interlocal Agreement; Mayor Sue Wylie supported that motion. Council recorded the estimated city cost at $2,216.13. The resolution passed unanimously, 7-0.
Separately, Councilmember Amanda Forte moved, supported by Jones, to authorize the City Treasurer to complete a fiscal-year 2024/25 budget amendment in the amount of $6,751.00. That motion carried, all aye, 7-0.
Each vote was recorded as unanimous; the meeting minutes list the seven council voting members as Mayor Sue Wylie, Mayor Pro Tem Laura Rodgers, and councilmembers Al Avery, Gary Casey, Amanda Forte, Erica Jones and Ted Quisenberry.
The meeting adjourned at 9:20 P.M.
