Glen Arbor trustees adopt FY2024–25 appropriations, approve budget amendments and authorize parking-lot repave

Glen Arbor Township trustees met March 31, 2025, and unanimously approved a set of year‑end financial actions: payment of final General Fund and fire‑department bills, adoption of the township's General Appropriations Act and multiple budget amendments that adjust line items for the fiscal year ending 2025.

Clerk Pam Laureto presented General Fund bills totaling $4,051.73 and Glen Arbor Fire Department (GLFD) bills totaling $49,972.24; trustees voted to pay both sets of bills. Trustee Bob Hawley moved to approve the General Fund bills; Donald Lewis supported the motion. Hawley moved to approve the GLFD bills; Lewis supported that motion. The motions carried unanimously.

The board adopted Resolution #10‑2025, the Township General Appropriations Act, after Supervisor Tom Laureto reviewed the key figures: estimated revenues of $675,050.00, a millage of 0.4514 mills and estimated expenditures of $705,084.00. The appropriations act shows $605,084.00 coming from committed General Fund dollars and $100,000.00 from uncommitted General Fund dollars (the latter funding usage is reflected in Resolution #8‑2025). The motion to adopt the appropriations act was approved by roll call with Trustees Bob Hawley, Donald Lewis, Pam Laureto and Supervisor Tom Laureto voting aye; Trustee John DePuy was absent.

Clerk Pam Laureto reviewed Resolution #8‑2025, which authorizes using uncommitted General Fund funds to repave the Township Hall parking lot; the board approved the resolution by roll call. The board also approved Resolution #9‑2025 (FY2024–25 Budget Amendments #2), which adjusts specific line items the clerk highlighted. Separately, Chief Ferguson reviewed the GLFD FY2024–25 budget amendments dated March 31, 2025; trustees approved the GLFD amendments following the chief's presentation.

At the March 18 public budget hearing, Clerk Laureto said there had been four changes to the proposed FY2024–25 budget: corrected tax collection and administrative fee amounts, $4,000 moved from the Park non‑capital account to a capital account, and $100 added to the snow‑plowing account (the minutes summarize these as three specific numeric adjustments; the clerk stated four overall changes). The board then voted to approve the proposed FY2024–25 budget by cost center; the roll call was unanimous among those present.
