Glen Arbor Township approves bills, payroll and new boat electronics

The Glen Arbor Township Board on March 18 approved routine town finances and a purchase to update emergency‑response boat electronics.
Clerk Pamela Laureto reported General Fund bills from Feb. 19 through March 18 totaled $6,281.51 and February General Fund payroll was $20,290.75. Treasurer Don Lewis moved, Trustee Bob Hawley supported, to approve the payment of the General Fund bills and payroll; the motion carried unanimously with trustees and the supervisor voting in favor and one trustee absent.
The board also approved Emergency Services bills from Feb. 12 through March 11 totaling $78,387.16 and Emergency Services payroll of $112,136.30. Trustee Pam Laureto moved, Trustee Hawley supported, and the board voted unanimously to approve those payments.
The Treasurer presented cash‑on‑hand balances as of Feb. 28, 2025, including the General Fund ($1,114,238.47), Emergency Services Fund ($3,713,884.89), Tax Collection Fund ($1,217,428.52), GLFD Debt Service Fund ($101,884.59), Fisher Lake SAD Fund ($49,348.90) and Park Debt Service Fund ($1,488.05).
On procurement, Fire Chief Ferguson reviewed a quote from Yacht Solutions to replace the boat’s radar and sonar systems and upgrade lighting to LED because the existing electronics were too old to repair. Trustee Don Lewis moved, Trustee Bob Hawley supported, to approve the Yacht Solutions quote; the board carried the motion unanimously. The minutes do not include the dollar amount of the quote.
The meeting record lists routine correspondence, written zoning and assessor reports on file, and other administrative updates. No public comments were offered during the meeting.
The board adjourned at 7:59 p.m.
