Planning commission recommends approval of Patriot Square final plat

The Columbia County Planning Commission on May 21 recommended approval of the final plat for Patriot Square, a 20.51-acre site at 2207 Wolf River Parkway to be subdivided into nine commercial lots.
Staff member Will presented the plat and said the proposed lots meet minimum size requirements and that the layout shows access roads and outparcels along Wolf River and Columbia. Will noted utilities are not yet fully installed but that the developer is seeking plat approval to allow the sale of at least one lot to make the project financially viable. The commission moved and voted to recommend approval.
The commission’s recommendation is advisory; a staff member reminded attendees that the Planning Commission is a recommending body and that the Columbia County Board of Commissioners will take final action on June 2, 2026. No members of the public spoke for or against the plat at the Planning Commission meeting.
