The Grant Township Planning Commission approved a special-use amendment to a private road serving property owned by Todd and Carrie Longcore at its Oct. 17, 2024 meeting.
Chair Brian Heminger called the regular meeting to order at 7:02 p.m. and the commission opened a public hearing on the Longcores' private-road amendment at 7:15 p.m. No residents attended the hearing in person; staff recorded one objection by phone. The commission reviewed submitted materials before taking action.
Commissioner Edith Elsenheimer moved to approve the private-road amendment; Commissioner Joel Newton seconded. The motion carried unanimously. The approval included a condition that the owners provide the township a copy of the new legal description and a copy of the amended private-road document before the record is finalized.
The commission did not record detailed findings in the minutes beyond the motion and recorded condition. The meeting adjourned at 7:33 p.m.
The commission is scheduled to meet next on Nov. 21, 2024, at 7 p.m.
