Chelmsford Select Board approves paving contract, library HVAC, licenses and appointments

Sousa said the Commonwealth awarded the town up to $35,000 under the MTTA program to support an update of the town's Hazard Mitigation Plan; those funds are to be expended by June 30, 2027. Sousa noted the June double‑pole report from National Grid is under review and that he has requested additional follow‑up information.
Licenses and appointments handled at the meeting included approval of two one‑day all‑alcoholic beverage licenses for Bruce Kayajanian for Sts. Vartanantz Armenian Church events on June 26 and August 2, 2026, and the reappointment of James Lane Jr. to the Board of Registrars for a three‑year term expiring June 30, 2029. The board also approved the Acting Town Manager's appointment of Mary Reese to the Age Friendly Implementation Committee to fill an unexpired term through June 30, 2027.
All motions noted in this report passed by unanimous roll call (5–0). The board approved the June 1 meeting minutes and adjourned at 7:29 p.m.
