At the Aug. 26 meeting the Board heard departmental updates and a director report, approved payment of bills and adjourned.
Program Director Dotti Tynes reported a successful car show, a high-attendance movie day, plans for a hydration event with Charter Senior Living of Linden, an upcoming talent show and the annual chili cook-off. Travel Coordinator Gwen Fannon described recent and planned trips and encouraged participation.
Director Tessa Sweeney reported on new computers and alternate sign-in options, refinished halls and floors, a moved library, completion of a county contract audit, CPR/AED training, passage of a senior millage renewal and approval of a county board contract. Board President Danielle Cusson moved and Pamela Howd seconded approval to pay bills in the amount of $53,077.47; roll-call vote carried 7-0. Cusson adjourned the meeting at 7:17 p.m.
