Reading council approves two Class C grow-license renewals, consent agenda and budget amendment

Councilor Matz moved and Councilor George seconded to renew BCC Agriculture LLC’s Class C grow licenses (AU-G-C-000890 and AU-G-C-000704) for the period March 31, 2025, through March 31, 2026; the measure passed on a roll-call vote of 5-0 (George, Crank, Gary, Matz, Penney). The licenses cover operations at 111 Enterprise Drive.
The council also approved the consent agenda, which included the Jan. 14, 2025 meeting minutes, the Treasurer’s Report, financial statements for December 2024 and authorization to pay operating bills for January 2025 totaling $56,472.36. That motion was approved by roll call (Yeas—George, Crank, Gary, Matz, Penney).
Separately, Councilor Matz moved and Councilor Gary seconded approval of journal entry #913 and an amended budget dated Feb. 11, 2025. According to the minutes, the adjustments increase projected revenues by $5,500 and decrease proposed expenditures by $12,274; the motion passed 5-0.
The decisions were recorded in the meeting minutes; no dissenting votes were recorded. The council’s next regular meeting is scheduled for March 11, 2025, at 6:30 p.m.
