Loose Board approves liquor license for Dueling Piano event

The Loose Board of Directors voted unanimously Aug. 26 to approve a liquor-license application and resolution for an upcoming Dueling Piano fundraising event at the Loose Senior Center. President Danielle Cusson moved to approve the application; Pamela Howd seconded and the motion passed on a 7-0 roll-call vote.
Tessa Sweeney, Director of Senior Services & Community Engagement, reviewed the event details and the licensing application for the Board, explaining the requirements and the resolution forwarded for approval. Police Chief Scott Sutter noted he had reviewed the application and described the event as successful in prior years; the board discussed which staff or volunteers would be responsible for monitoring alcohol service during the event.
No public comment was received on the liquor-license item. The Board recorded the vote as unanimous; the ayes were Brad Dick, Heather MacDermaid, Elizabeth Armstrong, Brenda Simons, Ray Culbert, Danielle Cusson and Pamela Howd. The approval allows event organizers to proceed under the terms of the presented application and resolution.
