The Hoosac Valley Regional School Committee on Monday unanimously approved its FY26 meeting calendar and designated the chair to sign payroll and accounts‑payable warrants to allow for timely release of checks.
Adam Emerson moved and John Duval seconded approval of the FY26 calendar; the motion passed unanimously. On a separate motion from Adam Emerson, seconded by Andy Przystanski, the committee unanimously designated Chair Erin Milne to sign payroll and accounts‑payable warrants; the vice chair will serve as alternate and the designee must report such actions at the committee’s next meeting.
Superintendent Aaron Dean introduced Christine (Chris) Wenz as the new elementary principal, noting her prior experience at Leeds Elementary; members welcomed Wenz and asked that she maintain strong relationships with community partners developed by the prior administration.
The superintendent-contract discussion was tabled until the committee’s August 25 meeting. The meeting adjourned at 7:55 p.m.
