Her daughter and holder of power of attorney, Audra Ladd, asked the board to condemn the trailer; the minutes record that a local co‑op will pay to demolish the structure and remediate an associated oil spill.
At 85 Goodrich Street, the board said an emergency condemnation order issued Jan. 23, 2026, remains necessary because of unsafe conditions. The minutes state that DPW Superintendent James Callahan shut off the water after a leak and that the house has had no heat for almost a year, a rat infestation, an inability to cook in the dwelling, and extensive clutter that makes movement difficult. Owner Meredydd Cooper requested additional time to clean and bring the property into compliance. The Select Board granted a 90‑day extension on condition that Board of Health agent Fred Sears conduct inspections every 30 days.
