The Village of Stockbridge Council voted Aug. 14 to accept a $54,800 bid from Joe Riaca Excavating, Inc. for the TMF bidding and authorized the village manager to sign the notice of award.
The motion to accept the bid was made by Councilmember Howlett and supported by Councilmember Cattel. In a roll-call vote the council recorded ayes from Good, Howlett, Cattel, Morehouse and President Ogden; there were no nays and two members (Powers-Taylor, Fairbotham) were absent. Howlett then moved, with Cattel supporting, to authorize the Village Manager to sign the Notice of Award; that motion passed on a voice vote with all present in favor.
The action was taken during a brief special meeting called to order by President Ogden at 7:35 P.M. The agenda was approved at the start of the meeting on a motion by Howlett, supported by Cattel. There were no public comments recorded. The meeting adjourned at 7:42 P.M. on a motion by Cattel, supported by Howlett.
The council minutes identify Joe Riaca Excavating, Inc. as the low bidder and list the contract amount as $54,800. The minutes do not name the Village Manager; the council authorized that official to sign the Notice of Award. The minutes are marked “UNAPPROVED.”
