Reed City Council approves April 19, 2025 Beer Festival despite scheduling concerns

Councilmember Trevor Guiles said he was concerned because Easter falls on Sunday that year and thought the weekend might be poor timing. McBee responded the Chamber prefers the consistent third-Saturday scheduling.
Council approved the festival by roll-call vote: Nehmer, Woodside, Meinert, Nixon and Burchett voted yes; Belden and Guiles voted no.
What happens next: Chamber staff and city staff will coordinate permits, park logistics and public-safety planning for the April 19, 2025 event.
