Pleasant Hill council approves large car‑show permit for Deery Brothers

The Pleasant Hill City Council on April 28 approved a special-event application from Deery Brothers for a one-day Concrete Cruizers Car Show set for May 16, 2026.
Parks and Recreation Manager Ryan Merritt told the council the returning event is expected to draw in excess of 1,000 people and close to 500 cars and that the organizer had coordinated operations with city staff. Merritt said the application had been reviewed and recommended by all necessary departments.
Councilmember Alyson DeMoss moved to approve the application with Konnor Hodges seconding; the motion carried 5-0.
City staff will continue to work with the organizer on operational details and public‑safety planning for the large one‑day event.
