At the Nov. 19 meeting, Recreation Director and Clerk Brandy Williams announced that Santa will visit Village Hall for photos, cocoa, cookies and small gifts on Saturday, Dec. 14, from 10 a.m. to noon. President Vern Talmadge said the Village will hold a Community Decorating Contest with judging on Dec. 14–15 and prizes of Visa gift cards (first place $200, second $100, third $50); winners will be announced at the December council meeting and council members are not eligible to win.
Council discussed a tentative dedication ceremony for a new sign at Czarny Park donated as an Eagle Scout project by Jaden Furman and Troop 1151; the tentative date and time are Dec. 7 at 11 a.m. RCC Director Deb Murphy noted the Pop-Up Market would take place that weekend at the Community Center and asked for donations of coats and nonperishable food.
