Roseville board retains Comerica checking account, lists depositories and names authorized signatories

The Roseville Community Schools Board of Education on July 7 confirmed the district’s checking account at Comerica Bank and approved a list of bank depositories to be used in 2025–26.
By motion of Denise Brun, supported by Matthew McCartney, the board retained the checking account at Comerica Bank; the motion carried unanimously (7-0). The board subsequently voted to retain a list of depositories including Comerica Bank; Bank of America (safekeeping at Chase Manhattan); Fifth Third Bank; Huntington National Bank; Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith, Inc. (safekeeping at Bank of America); MILAF – Michigan Liquid Asset Fund Plus (safekeeping at Fifth Third Bank); and US Bank, N.A. That motion was moved by Matthew McCartney, supported by Denise Brun, and carried 7-0.
The board authorized Superintendent Mark Blaszkowski, Deputy Superintendent David Rice, Executive Director of Business & Finance Rayetta Ashbaugh and Board Treasurer Matthew McCartney as district check signatories effective Aug. 1, 2025, under a motion by Kevin Switanowski, supported by Michelle Williams-Ward; that motion also passed unanimously.
These procedural approvals were recorded as part of the board’s annual organizational meeting; no new expenditures or budget amounts were presented during the discussion.
