Students in the video—naming Brady McDuffy, Kylie and Randy Pettis—described competitive events, public speaking and leadership roles offered through CTE clubs. Randy Pettis, identified in the video as the high school’s FCCLA president, said the program “has helped me prepare for my future by having a group of officers on my side” and described community-service and leadership activities that complement classroom learning.
Presenters described practical components of the CTE curriculum, including mock interviews scheduled for seniors and a Trades Day planned for the 20th that will run near the shop and, weather permitting, in the courtyard. Administrators said outside partners (including linemen and others) have helped set up interactive demonstrations and that the police department will assist with traffic control for the event.
Board members thanked students and staff for the presentation and confirmed that staff will continue preparing students for career pathways and college transitions. The board did not take any formal action on the presentation; it recognized the CTE team and students for outreach and experiential learning.
