At its Feb. 10 meeting, the Aliceville City Council handled routine business including approval of previous meeting minutes, accounts payable and the selection of voting delegates for the Alabama League of Municipalities convention.
Councilman Wilkins moved to approve the minutes as read; Councilwoman Jones seconded and the motion carried on a voice vote. Later in the meeting the council approved the bills/accounts payable as presented by voice vote.
For state-level representation, the council designated delegates to the Alabama League of Municipalities convention in Montgomery: the mover placed themselves as the delegate, Mayor Pro Tim as first alternate and Councilman Woods as second alternate; the motion carried by voice vote.
All procedural actions in the meeting were approved by voice vote without recorded roll-call tallies. The meeting adjourned after councilmembers offered closing remarks and expressed appreciation for local law enforcement.
