Village officials used the Oct. 15 Rothbury Village Council meeting to update the council on routine operations and near-term events.
Police Chief Ethan Walker reported that Officer Walicki made a recent public-relations appearance at a local ranch event and said the department has ordered new radios with an estimated six- to nine-month delivery window. Planning Commission chair and Zoning Administrator Mike Harris said the commission is preparing a new resident survey and reported no new zoning complaints.
Recreation Director Brandy Williams said Halloween was set for a drive-through at the Community Center from 6 to 7:30 p.m. and that details about a Santa event were forthcoming. RCC Director Deb Murphy said rentals have slowed for the season. DPW Director Scott Beishuizen said the irrigation system has been blown out for the year and urged consideration of repairs to the trail and pavilion at Village Hall Park.
Council members discussed ways to make recycling more convenient for residents; Brandy Williams will contact the vendor Kuerths for more information. Treasurer Deb Murphy said the final upload for the BS&A financial system was scheduled for Oct. 17, with the new version to go live Oct. 21 and staff training planned that day.
No formal decisions were recorded on these operational items beyond the direction to seek vendor information on recycling and the scheduling of software go-live and training. The meeting adjourned at 7:23 p.m.
