Geneva City Board hears proposed evaluation framework, votes to delay formal CSFO review

Board members discussed three options for the CSFO evaluation cycle: delay the formal review until the evaluation framework and procedures are completed; conduct no formal evaluation this cycle and implement the framework for future use; or conduct a limited developmental evaluation focused on growth and quarterly counseling sessions. Following discussion, the board voted to delay the formal CSFO evaluation and to hold workshops and additional reviews to finalize the evaluation process.
The presentation also included a recommended annual governance calendar and a plan for strategic‑planning work sessions. Board members asked staff to bring a proposed workshop schedule and suggested reviewing policies and handbooks during June and July to prepare for the 2026–27 school year. No formal changes to contracts or personnel actions were recorded at the meeting as part of the evaluation discussion.
