Superintendent J presented a slate of personnel recommendations and contract approvals and the board approved them by voice vote.
J asked the board to approve two transfers: Beth Turner from Geneva High School to Milwaukee Elementary and Shannon King from Geneva Middle School to Geneva High School. A board member moved the transfers and the board approved them by voice vote.
J also recommended hiring Brandy (referred to as 'Randy' in the motion text) Holland as a paraprofessional at Geneva Middle School to provide additional support for special‑needs students entering elementary grades; the board approved that hire by voice vote.
On services, J recommended approving a speech‑language pathologist contract with Foundation Pediatric Therapy Clinic to provide speech services to students. Board discussion included clarifying the contract length and scope; one board member thanked staff for answering contract questions and for explaining why the contract term was two and a half months rather than a longer period. The motion to approve the contract passed by voice vote.
What follows: contract details (term length, cost and renewal options) and the new hires will be memorialized in the personnel files; any additional hires or transfers will be brought back for board approval as needed.
