The Mancelona Public Schools Board on March 11 approved spring and summer bond bids that the district said will fund immediate bathroom repairs and a track renovation scheduled to start about June 9, 2025.
Scott Jernberg reviewed the bids and outlined the projects that will be undertaken with bond funds. He told the board bathroom projects will begin immediately and the track project is expected to start approximately June 9. Board members asked about stained ceiling tiles; Jernberg said those will be replaced once roof work is completed.
The bond bids were approved unanimously (Clark/Derrer). Board members also discussed organizing Community Day and other facilities maintenance items for future consideration.
Next steps: project scheduling and procurement will proceed under the district’s bond program; staff will report progress to the board as work begins.
