Victor Garofalo (Assistant Town Manager/Finance) told the Commission the pool is on schedule for a December 1 opening and that five options for the Haskell playground renovation were circulated to the CPC. The playground options center on removing more wood fiber, adding pour‑in‑place surfacing and adding a universal playground element, and staff indicated there would be no change to the project cost previously presented to CPC.
Garofalo said some Haskell improvements came in slightly higher than expected but that some work will be completed in‑house to control costs; he also noted hope that bathroom renovations could be coordinated with playground work. The Commission agreed to return the playground discussion to the December meeting and take a position then.
Sandra Duran and Victor Garofalo left the meeting early to attend a Finance meeting after presenting their updates.
