Staff recommended reaffirming the city's commitment to the project so it could remain competitive for regional funding and move toward a ready-to-let date. Commissioner Watson moved and Mayor Pro Tem Isbell seconded the resolution; the motion passed by voice vote.
Staff indicated next steps would include continued detailed scope and funding discussions with NCTCOG and consultants and bringing project updates back to the commission in subsequent meetings.
