The Hidden Valley Lake Community Services District Finance Committee on Aug. 12 recommended that the Board approve three procurement items and a construction quote that together total $217,062.95.
The committee recommended purchase of a Peterson Trucks 2023 International CV515 4WD dump truck for $104,613.57, and a Herc Rentals 2018 Volvo DD25BW 3-ton 47-inch ride-on roller for $17,799.38. The committee also recommended acceptance of a Piazza Construction general engineering contractor quote for $94,650 to replace two street vault lids on North Shore Drive (Lift Station #5) and to rehabilitate one wet-well slab on Marine View Drive (Lift Station #4). The minutes record that the General Manager, Paul Kelley, presented these items to the committee and staff addressed committee inquiries.
The minutes do not record a formal roll-call vote on these recommendations; they are recorded as "Committee Recommendation to the Board to Approve" each item and, in the case of the Piazza Construction quote, to authorize the General Manager to sign the contract. The purchases and the contract are listed on the committee's agenda for board consideration.
Procedural motions noted in the minutes: Director Jim Freeman made the motion to approve the meeting agenda and Director Gary Graves seconded; at the end of the session Freeman moved to adjourn and Graves seconded. The minutes record no public comment on these matters.
The committee also received updates on monthly financial reports and district projects during the meeting; staff addressed inquiries but the minutes include no further financial detail. The Board will receive the committee's recommendations at a future Board meeting for final approval.
