At the start of the session Michelle Miller moved the committee through housekeeping and a motion to adopt the meeting agenda; the agenda passed by voice vote (recorded as 6‑0).
The committee nominated and confirmed a chair by motion and voice vote; the chair accepted the gavel. Members then nominated and confirmed Barbara (longest resident in Sea Pines) as vice chair after a second. The chair asked for a motion to approve minutes from the previous meeting; a second was recorded and the body moved on to the day’s presentation.
Later in the meeting the committee reviewed proposed meeting dates for 2026. Miller provided four suggested dates and members voted to adopt the schedule; the next meeting was set for May 5. Several members noted scheduling conflicts and discussed flexibility, but the committee agreed staff would work with leadership to schedule additional interim meetings if needed.
The chair called for public comment; one commenter, Chet Williams, declined to speak. The committee then moved, seconded and adjourned.
