Dennis Hall presented the fiscal year 2025 audit report and told the board both the financial and federal audits received unmodified opinions. "We issued an unmodified opinion on the board's financial statements, which means the financial statements presented are materially correct," Hall said. He added the board "complied with applicable laws and regulations" in all material respects and that the federal audit similarly received an unmodified opinion.
Hall said the federal audit included testing of the child nutrition program and 21st Century Learning Centers and that Meek High School and Lane High School were among the sites tested. The auditor noted the federal compliance supplemental timeline required performing two separate audits this year: one for financial statements and one for federal compliance because the federal compliance supplement was not released in time for a single combined audit.
Board members responded briefly to the report, with one attendee summarizing the results as a "clean audit." No formal action was required beyond receiving the report.
The audit reports were released May 29 and the auditor directed questions to the Montgomery office for follow-up.
