Trustees of the Otis Public Library voted on two routine items at their May 20, 2026 meeting. A motion to accept the minutes of the April 9 board meeting was made, seconded and approved. Later in the meeting, trustees moved to accept the Director’s report; that motion was also seconded and approved. The transcript does not record who moved or seconded either motion, nor does it record vote tallies.
The Director’s report cited an operational change: starting next week, summer hours will expand to include Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Board members also discussed other available grants and operational implications for the existing building, including accessibility improvements that may be needed while the library pursues longer-term funding for a new facility.
The meeting was called to order at 5:38 p.m. and adjourned at 7:09 p.m. The board scheduled its next regular meeting for June 11 at 6:00 p.m.
