The school committee moved through several governance appointments. After discussion and an amendment, the committee appointed four members to the RAC subcommittee (the motion as amended was approved by roll call). The amended slate included the chair, Mr. Fitzgerald, Mr. Slovski and one additional member; members clarified there were no duplicate town representatives.
The committee then approved a motion to appoint Nick Wheeler as Amesberry’s representative to the school building committee after Amesberry’s originally appointed representative resigned. The motion was seconded and approved by roll call.
Finally, the committee approved a list of RAAC nominees and alternates submitted by member towns, including representatives and alternates for Amesberry (Mayor Gove; alternate Claudell Frederick), Groveland (Jason Naves; alternate Rebecca Oldham), Ipsswitch (Thomas Younger; alternate Charles Serpitsky), Marramac (Chris Manny; alternate Carol McCloud), Newbury (William Deo; alternate Tracy Blae), Rowley (Cliff Pierce; alternate Bernard Cullen), Salsbury (Neil Harrington), Wes Newbury (Angus Jennings; alternate Chris While) and others noted in the packet. Georgetown had not submitted a representative.
Each motion passed by roll call; the committee will forward the appointments to the relevant regional bodies as appropriate.
