Village council accepts resignations of council member and village clerk; schedules clerk interviews

At its Oct. 13, 2025 meeting the Village of Wolverine council voted unanimously to accept the resignations of council member Tal Babcock and Village Clerk Dawn M. Benac. The motion to accept both resignations was made by Dennis Holden and supported by Bob Wallin.
Council also recorded interest from Morgan Harmon and Deb Johnston in the vacant clerk position. Sue Beitel announced that the council will hold a special meeting on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025, at 6 p.m. to interview the two candidates.
No appointment was made at the Oct. 13 meeting. The minutes show the council handling standard procedural business and recording the resignations by formal motion and unanimous verbal vote.
