The Cabot School Board reviewed personnel recommendation documents at its Feb. 25 meeting and voted to approve the certified and classified items as presented.
The certified personnel document lists a retirement: Debra Rogers, high school chemistry teacher, effective June 30, 2025. Certified resignations include Assistant Principal Edgar Fonda (Middle School South) and teacher Kimberly Robertson (Middle School South; last day listed as June 3, 2025). Classified resignations listed include bus driver Oweta Babbs and other support staff; the personnel packet also lists transfers, leaves and new hires.
Classified new hires noted in the packet included custodial and food-service positions and named hires such as Steven Minor (custodial response, High School) and Abby Robertson (Team I). The packet repeatedly states that all recommendations and hiring of licensed certified personnel are contingent on completion of licensure requirements and clearing criminal background checks and the child maltreatment registry; classified hires are likewise contingent on required clearances.
The board approved the personnel recommendations by motion and vote and adjourned. The minutes and personnel documents provide names, positions and effective dates where available; some items list a final date or "not specified."
