The Town of Natick Council on Aging Executive Subcommittee met Thursday, May 7, 2026, in Conference Room 201. Saul Beaumont called the meeting to order at 12:04 p.m., and members present were Chair Saul Beaumont, Sal Pandolfo, Jim Fitzgerald and Donna Tarutz, Director of COA & Human Services.
The subcommittee finalized the agenda for the full Council on Aging board meeting scheduled for May 11, 2026, agreeing to include updates on a strategic planning effort and a planned facilitation session led by a Mass COA trainer, which staff will present at the board meeting. Members also reviewed administrative items including a status update on a letter to the Select Board requesting relief from the town uthoritiesremote-attendance policy; the Select Board is scheduled to decide on that request at its next meeting.
Other operational updates included a report that the planned Ogunquit bus trip is confirmed and now has a waiting list, and that the nomination subcommittee has met and will report at the May 11 board meeting. The subcommittee agreed to invite Friends representative Joan Bace to a future meeting and noted Sal Pandolfo will coordinate with the Town Clerk's office regarding establishing three-year terms for associate members.
On a formal motion, Sal Pandolfo moved to accept the minutes of the April 6, 2026 Executive Subcommittee meeting; Jim Fitzgerald seconded the motion and the members voted to approve the minutes by unanimous consent. Saul Beaumont then closed the meeting at 12:30 p.m. after Jim Fitzgerald moved to adjourn and Sal Pandolfo seconded. The subcommittee scheduled its next Executive Subcommittee meeting for June 1, 2026, at the same time and location.
