Demorest Music Monday drew about 70; board moves event time and tweaks vendor policy
Summary
The DDA reported roughly 70 attendees at Music Monday, agreed to shift future events to 6:30–8:30 p.m., improve marketing, notify the post office ahead of events, consider moving to the park, and use the word “food” rather than listing individual vendors to avoid confusion.

At its June 4 meeting the Demorest Heart of Habersham Downtown Development Authority recapped Music Monday attendance and agreed several operational changes for future events.
Directors said the event attracted about 70 attendees. To improve turnout and logistics, the board agreed to change the time for future Music Monday events to 6:30–8:30 p.m., boost marketing efforts, and notify the post office in advance of major events. Members also discussed the possibility of holding the event in the park and said they would invite previous vendors back while seeking additional vendors.
To avoid confusion if a vendor cancels, directors agreed to describe food availability with the generic term “food” rather than listing individual vendors on promotional materials.
The board did not record any formal vote specific to vendor contracts or park use during the meeting; members said they will continue planning and return with more details at a future meeting.
