City Manager Mark Musselwhite reported at the July 1 work session that the city's FY2025 Animal Care & Control fees total $43,911.71. After applying a countywide tax digest credit of $28,349.97 the net amount the city owes is $15,561.74. Musselwhite noted the city paid $13,327.16 for FY2024.
Council members agreed the city needs the service; no formal vote to authorize payment was recorded in the work session minutes.
