The Town of Berkley Board of Health reviewed multiple septic and well permit items at its Jan. 13 meeting and took administrative actions including approving several septic plans and a Certificate of Compliance, signing a well permit for 144 Bryant Street, canceling a well permit for 23 Water Street, tabling 164 Bryant Street, and scheduling a site visit for a well permit at 662 Berkley Street after the applicant appeared.
Board members Daniel Fournier (Clerk) and Patrick McCrohan (Member) were present; Chairman James Romano was recorded as absent in the minutes. The Board reviewed consultant comments: Nyles Zager reviewed the septic plans for 47 Grinnell Street and Gerald Bernard reviewed multiple other plans. Following those reviews, the Board approved and stamped plans for 17 Crabapple Drive, 47 Grinnell Street, 7 A&B Hudson Drive, and 9 A&B Hudson Drive and placed copies in the project folders; approved plans were provided to consultants or recipients named in the minutes (Gerald Bernard or Joe Malloch).
On 526 Berkley Street, the Board reviewed consultant Gerald Bernard’s comments and determined the septic plans require revisions per his comments. The Board tabled 23 Water Street earlier in the agenda (23 Water Street later had its well permit canceled according to the minutes) and tabled 164 Bryant Street to the next meeting. The minutes record that the Board accepted minutes and correspondence and signed invoices and permits before adjourning at 7:48 P.M. The next meeting was scheduled for Jan. 27, 2026 at 7:00 P.M.
Procedural notes: the minutes record approvals and signed documents but do not provide individual roll‑call vote tallies for those approvals. Where the minutes record that plans were "approved, stamped and signed," the document indicates those approvals were completed and copies placed in the project folders.
