Board approves vendor awards, hears budget introductions for public review
Summary
During the May 25 meeting the board approved awarding electrical and AC parts contracts and authorized advertising for an office supply vendor; budget documents for the current and upcoming fiscal years were introduced for consideration at the June 22 meeting.
The St. John the Baptist Parish School Board approved several procurement actions and heard introductions of budget documents May 25.
On motions from the dais, the board voted to award a contract for electrical parts to Armstrong's Supply Company, Inc., and to award a contract for AC parts to Air Nu. Both contract awards were approved by roll call (10 yeas, 1 absent – DeFrancesch). The board also approved advertising to solicit an office supply vendor as requested by Mrs. Janice Gauthier.
Separately, Ms. Jawanza Joseph presented the 2022–2023 Revised Budget, the 2023–2024 Proposed Budget and the 2023–2024 Salary Schedule and stated each would be considered at the June 22, 2023 meeting. Budget details and salary schedule documents are available for public inspection at the district Central Office at 118 West 10th Street in Reserve.
Votes on the vendor contracts were recorded by roll call; no dollar amounts for the contract awards were stated on the record, and formal contract documents will be completed and administered through district procurement procedures.
